Lesion Lady
Kylie Vincent is a 26 year-old stand-up comic who has lived on her own since she was 16. Kylie’s spirit is uniquely uncrushable, her style and comedic craft is undeniable, and her hard-won perseverance built through a series of struggles (she left home at the age of 16 because things were going really well), is inspiring.
Her 9-month, sold-out run of her live hour, Lesion Lady (which is currently in production as an upcoming documentary comedy special), chronicles her journey from being hospitalized with no insurance after her entire left side went numb, which led to a shocking MS (Mega Slut) Disease diagnosis. Immediately after discharge, Kylie Vincent took to the stage with her cane and new jokes written in her hospital bed about her brain lesion (lesiondary) and the horrors of navigating The American Healthcare System. Kylie went on to perform stand up nearly every night, crafting the new hour within weeks of her unexpected and life-altering days as the “youngest and tightest” patient in the neurology unit.

““You don’t have 2 things, sweetheart” - my surgeon to 23 year old me when I asked that my GYN be present for my bowel resection due to suspected endo. GUESS WHO HAD SO MUCH ENDO THEY COULDNT DO THE RESECTION, SWEETHEART”
“A he/him doctor in the ER told me my eye pain and small rash near my eyeball was just eczema and refused to look at my actual eyeball because he didn’t think young women get shingles (not true at all). Then he told me I probably had HIV (i was a virgin and never used a needle) and when I tested negative he said tests can be wrong. Turns out I had shingles inside both my eyeballs and without special medication it would have made me go blind and spread to my brain and killed me! I was the youngest person in all of California to have it in both eyes (hottest and tightest in optimology unit”
